"Oh this is a touchy topic," says my dear friend. We start our conversation complaining about the bots who bombard our phones with texts and phone calls. It quickly evolves into a discussion around answering a random face time call.
First, let's discuss "some people" who may or may not be properly dressed answering face time calls. From a sales perspective, I would not want to engage someone answering my face time while they were on the toilet- just saying.
However- I am reading more and more people are using this form of solicitation- and it seems to be working. Are people really answering random video calls?
I am a bit old school where I believe the appropriate form of communication is set up by the prospect. If they prefer a call, zoom, face time, google meet, etc., I am happy to accommodate it. But it begs the question- how do I reach them initially when doing outbound cold call efforts?
Maybe I am behind the times here- but I'd prefer to stick to traditional forms of marketing like calls, emails, social media, etc.
What are your thoughts?
